EXPERIENCE: Core Group Leadership Profiles

PATRICK PHELAN - President BSHL Group -  A graduate of University of Missouri Columbia with a Bachelors in Business Administration and a MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. Pat purchased the BSHL Group's Kansas City office in 2006. Pat has over 13 years experience in project management, procurement, marketing, business development, and finance/budgeting for ThyssenKrupp and Sprint. Pat has developed large national chains distribution agreements with Home Depot, Sears, and Wal-Mart. Some of the clients Pat has worked with include Applebee's, Houlihan's, Maid Rite, and Breadeaux Pizza.

MICHAEL WERNER - VP Director of Business Development - As a veteran operator, restaurateur, and entrepreneur, Michael brings 20 plus years of industry experience to the BSHL Group. He has held numerous leadership positions for a variety of organizations in the private and corporate sectors and his approach with clients draws from a broad spectrum of experience and achievements. Michael has been part of corporate / franchise management (MIT) development programs, managed corporate test kitchens, executed corporate new menu roll outs and (BOH) back of house (EOE) ease of execution programs. He also has extensive single and multi-unit restaurant and nightclub operations experience. This coupled with his varied concept development, marketing, promotions and (NSO) new store opening experience has given Michael a chameleon like ability to adapt to an ever changing industry.
Michael's concept development and operations / management experience covers a wide variety including national, regional, and local operations. Some of these include: Houlihan's, (KC-KS,MO)The ClubHouse, (STL-MO) Streamer's, (TOL-OH, DET-MI, COL-OH) Montego-Bay, (COL-OH) Fizz, (DET-MI) Lily's Irish Pub, (ATL- GA) Shooter's 21, (BLM-IL) LuLu's Storyville Saloon, (TOL-OH) Ricardo's, (TOL-OH) and Menage Dance Cafe. DAN PHELAN- VP Director of Operations - A graduate of St. Ambrose University with a Bachelors of Arts. Dan brings over 10 years experience in construction project management with the Pella Corporation. Dan receives, distributes, and tracks incoming / outgoing building project plans and specifications from existing conditions and on-site investigation reports through final construction. Dan's ability to work day to day with General Contractors and Subcontractor employees ensures overall job quality and proper placement of (FF&E) furniture, fixtures & equipment packages.
